After moving into new business premises back in 2018 and launching Axapta in 2019, WIKA Mexico is taking a further step this season: The calibration laboratory for pressure has been commissioned relative to Mexican standard NMX-EC-17025-IMNC-2018/ ISO/IEC 17025 (2017).
The brand new calibration system in operation
A new member of staff was recruited last August to handle the certification process and operation of the laboratory. This April, WIKA Mexico was accredited by the Mexican certification company EMA. Through Banned , typical tasks were processed, including a laboratory ring comparison and internal audits. The first accreditation audit was completed without the issues being raised.
The number of services includes the calibration of process pressure gauges, and of simple reference devices. Calibration services that were previously outsourced are now provided in-house. This boosts that service for customers, and WIKA is winning more orders. In the next step, the range of calibration services is usually to be extended to add higher-end pressure calibrations, and temperature will undoubtedly be introduced in the laboratory as a new measurand.
