Flowserve to provide pumps for data centre cooling

Working with AGI Industries, Flowserve Corp has secured a contract to offer 5,000 industrial course of pumps to TMGcore Inc, a Texas-based supplier of high-performance computing options and a specialist in liquid immersion cooling technology.

The Flowserve pumps shall be used in patented immersion cooling models designed by TMGcore. The pumps will circulate dielectric fluids, which allow heat dissipation and cooling of servers within single-phase immersion cooled models.
Unlike conventional data centres, today’s technologies like artificial intelligence, deep learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing require a considerably larger amount of information to be processed – expanding the need for elevated server capacity. Immersion cooling can handle larger warmth masses in high-density servers at a minimal cost, and it’s also more power environment friendly than conventional air cooling.
