“The four suspects have admitted they attacked the American man who they claimed was intoxicated earlier than an argument started adopted by a physical confrontation.”
Sujin said it was still unclear who started the altercation. He mentioned that police are still investigating, and interviewing all parties concerned.
Sujin mentioned the police recognized the suspects after reviewing CCTV footage. He stated the four persons are workers at entertainment venues on Bangla Road.

An American tourist was allegedly assaulted in Phuket’s vacationer hotspot town of Patong early yesterday morning. The 35 12 months previous man had wounds on his face, and one of his center fingers.
The man had been at a bar on Bangla Road, the place he was reportedly very drunk. He had been with a 24 yr outdated Russian lady. Staff had requested the man to leave the bar, according to Thai media.
The man was then allegedly assaulted exterior of the bar, though details on who assaulted him and why remain unclear.
The Russian woman was not injured. The man advised the first responders that solely he was attacked. Patong Police are persevering with to investigate.
This news comes less than every week after one other late-night incident of violence involving foreigners in Thailand, this one in Pattaya. On September 23, a vacationer allegedly punched an elderly Australian man in the face as the man was attempting to stop him from combating with a motorcycle taxi driver.
A witness added that the vacationer appeared closely intoxicated. The man sustained a non-life threatening harm to his face and was taken to a close-by hospital.
