Kenyan agency plans large cold chain facility in East Africa

Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi would be the largest, most superior and environment friendly in the region. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for numerous temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and multiple product ranges, from contemporary fruit and vegetables, to pharmaceuticals and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen foods.
Cold Solutions Kenya is a portfolio company of ARCH Cold Chain Solutions East Africa Fund, a non-public fairness fund advised by ARCH Emerging Markets Partners Limited (ARCH).
“Cold Solutions’ one-stop-shops are designed to allow companies to keep track of products in real-time and facilitate transportation throughout East Africa via temperature-controlled trucks, both within the inside metropolis or to long-haul destinations,” mentioned Jared Irving, Managing Director, ARCH.
